Financing for Your Home Improvement Project
AM Wilson Construction offers financing through third-party lenders for qualified homeowners and projects. Ask about financing when you request an estimate. A written scope helps establish the project cost so you can compare available options with the lender.
Financing Through Third-Party Lenders
Financing for home improvement projects is available through third-party lenders for qualified homeowners and projects. Approval, rates, terms, availability, eligibility, and loan amounts are determined by the lender, not by AM Wilson Construction. Not all applicants qualify, and AM Wilson does not guarantee approval or specific terms.
The process starts with the work. We assess your project on site and put the scope in writing first. Then, if financing is an option for your project, we can discuss what may be available and how to ask the lender about it. The lender decides whether you qualify and on what terms.
- 1
Discuss your project
Ask about financing when you request your estimate so the cost picture is clear from the start.
- 2
Define the work
An on-site assessment and a written scope establish the project amount before you talk with a lender.
- 3
Review lender options
The lender handles the application, eligibility, and credit approval. Approval and terms are not guaranteed.
- 4
Schedule approved work
Project arrangements and scheduling are agreed after funding arrangements are confirmed.
Budgeting Repairs and Remodels
Many home improvement projects, from a siding repair to a kitchen remodel, can be easier to manage when the cost is spread over time. Financing is one way to do that, but it is not the only consideration. The scope, the priority of the work, and what fits your budget all matter.
Ask about financing alongside your estimate rather than after. If you know you may want to finance part of the project, mentioning it early helps us understand the full picture. A written scope helps establish the project amount, so it is worth asking about financing early in the process.
Projects That May Qualify
Whether your specific project qualifies is determined by the lender. Not all applicants qualify, and AM Wilson does not guarantee approval or specific terms.
Questions to Ask the Lender
When you speak with a lender, a few questions help you understand the actual cost and terms. These are questions for the lender, not for AM Wilson, because the lender sets the rates, fees, and eligibility.
- What is the annual percentage rate (APR), and is it fixed or variable?
- What fees are involved, including origination, late, or prepayment fees?
- What are the repayment terms, the length of the loan and the monthly payment?
- Does applying involve a credit inquiry, and is it a soft or hard pull?
- Can the project be partially funded, or does the full amount need to be financed?
- What are the eligibility requirements, and what documentation is needed?
